Prayer Walking - Men on Mission
Saturday Mornings 10 am

About: Men on Mission:

Our "Men On Mission" group consists of adult men of the church of all ages. We have new Christians who are learning about missions, and also deacons who have walked with the Lord many years. We have projects which we decide upon during our monthly meetings. They sometimes are as simple as giving financial aid to a family in need, or as physical as building a handicap ramp for an elderly person in the community.

We always supply the manpower for the "Round-Up" Sunday BBQ in September. Our men cook and serve the meal as a ministry from our hearts.

We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Member's homes. For information, please contact Kent Plemmons, President at 456-5899 or email him at mensMinistries@bethel-baptist-church.com for more information.

Ushers/Greeters

Get involved with the greeter/usher ministry. Volunteer your time in an exciting opportunity to serve. See Bill Holbrook for more information.

Please review the following suggestions for being an usher:

  • For the Sunday AM Worship Service 6 ushers will sit on the front seat. Any 2 will be stationed at the entrance by 11 a.m. as per your group leader. When the Pastor asks for new visitors, 2 ushers will go to each of the center aisles and 1 for each outside aisle, and 2 will be in the back.
  • The two ushers in the back should help latecomers find seats.
***Your presence is very important. If for any reason you are unable to usher on the Sunday you are designated, please notify your group leader or call someone on the list to fill in for you.
  • Two ushers should be at the front of the church by 9:30 a.m. before Sunday School to welcome and help visitors find classes, help the elderly, carry umbrellas when raining, hand out bulletins, etc.
  • On your designated Sunday, please let your group leader know you are there by 10:45 a.m. so he can be sure there are enough ushers available.
  • On Sunday night and Wednesday night one of the group leaders or head usher will assign ushers.
  • Please be prepared to usher anytime the Pastor calls for a special offering.
  • After taking the offering on Sunday am and pm services someone from the Teller committee will take all monies in the front foyer. There 2 ushers should take the empty offering plates back to the front of the church.
  • Wednesday night offering will be taken back to the front of the church.

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to talk with your group leader or head usher.
Thank you for your service to Bethel Baptist Church and continue to pray for our Pastor and Church.
